Making Apple Crumble

I really enjoyed making apple crumble in Hospitality today, although it didn't end up tasting as good as I hoped it would, it was a very enjoyable experience.
To make this meal I was partners with Issy, and we probably werent as efficient as we could have been while we were cooking.
We both began by peeling and coring the four apples, and cutting them in half. Then, while Issy sliced all the apple into thin pieces, I made the apple crumble, by rubbing in the butter to the flour, and mixed the other ingredients altogether. Once all of the apple was chopped up and in the pan, I added some water and sugar, and then placed the pot over the stove to cook. In the meantime while the apple cooked, Issy and I cleaned up our bench and helped clean up our bays dishes.
Our group work very sistematically, while Annaliese and I washed all of the dishes, Christie and Issy dried them, and everyone else helped put all of the dishes away. As there were a lot of dishes used, and eight people in our bay, there was a lot to get done. So while I did the dishes with Annaliese, Issy took out the apple from the pan once it was ready, put it in a tray and sprinklet the crumble on top, and then put it in the oven until it browned.
Once all of the dishes were packed up and our bay was all clean, I began to eat my apple crumble which wasnt too bad, although I don't really like mushy-type food. So therefore I didn't really like the apple, although the crumble was very nice.
I really enjoyed todays lesson, as it was a great experience, as I love to cook, and especially with my friends.

Making Potato in its Jacket with Coleslaw

In Hospitality, I was partnered with Issy, and we made delicious potato, although I didn't favor the coleslaw.
When we got into our station, Issy and I began washing the potatoes and vegetables. I cut the cabbage while Issy rinded the orange and lemon skin. When I was cutting the cabbage, I was worried that I would cut myself, as we had to cut it very thinly, so I ended up cutting it too thick. Once I had pierced the potato with the fork, and gotten it ready to put in the microwave, another group we were sharing the bench with had already put their potatoes in, so therefore, we didn't end up putting the potato in the microwave until everyone in our workspace was doing the dishes and washing up. Eventually our potatoes were ready, and Issy and I quickly put everything in our tray so that we could help everyone else clean up. We were the last group to finish, but the end result of the potato was delicious, and I really enjoyed eating it, although the coleslaw wasn't as good as I hoped.
